Recover Clarity works with one of the largest testing laboratories in the United States. The Founder worked with this company years ago to develop better and easier drug testing methods for patients, especially those receiving online Suboxone treatment via telehealth. And the best part is that the testing is done most of the time at no cost to the patient. How the testing is free is that first any insurance plan you have should cover the cost. Some online opioid addiction treatment facilities charge for all testing, despite having insurance. In the event you do not have insurance, or they do not cover such testing, then you just must fill out a financial letter to the laboratory. If you are below a certain income level, which is generous, you will get free testing or at a greatly decreased price, 99% of patients receive free drug testing.
The drug testing is an oral fluid test which is completed with staff via a HIPAA compliant Zoom call. These typically take 5 minutes and can be completed anywhere that you can operate both audio and video capabilities on Zoom. And an even newer approach is in the works making this even more convenient for all patients to complete. All drug testing is done via oral fluid to decrease any tampering with the testing sample as well as laboratory analysis to eliminate any inaccurate results, which can happen with the quick urine testing done at many facilities.
Drug testing in any substance abuse treatment facility has many important purposes. Many people likely believe this is only to try to “catch” them doing something wrong. This is far from the truth, there are many reasons for the need for such testing. Some clinics may take this approach or be punitive about any outcomes of such testing, but a quality opioid treatment clinic like that of Recover Clarity, only has drug testing to help the patients, never to punish them.
Drug testing is required to ensure patients are taking their prescribed medications, first and foremost. Diversion of medication is a major concern by the DEA and it is this diversion that causes so many people who are needing treatment facilities like online suboxone treatment programs to have difficulties with treatment. Diversion is also a reason why there are such restrictions on Suboxone and other Buprenorphine medications at pharmacies. Therefore, trying to stop diversion should be everyone’s goal. If there was no diversion of medication, then finding Suboxone treatment facilities and the available medication at pharmacies would be greatly easier for everyone.
The next reason for the importance of drug testing is to see when a patient needs a higher level of care. As much as any quality opioid addiction treatment facility wishes no one ever had a relapse or minor lapse, that unfortunately does happen. If it is an isolated event, then treatment should continue with more monitoring. But if a person needs a higher level of care, than where they are currently being treated, it is only responsible for that facility to assist the patient in receiving such treatment. At Recover Clarity we work with many other clinics offering multiple levels of care to assist the patient in their time of need. Once they have successfully completed that higher level of care, the patient is always welcomed with open arms back to Recover Clarity.
The last reason for drug testing is for patient safety. There are combinations of substances that can easily have fatal consequences. One that is of upmost importance with any opioid addiction treatment, specifically with Buprenorphine (Suboxone), is the mixture of Buprenorphine with any Benzodiazepines (Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, etc) can be fatal. With the changes in substances and many not being truly what the person believes they are ingesting is another area a quality opioid treatment facility should assist patients in understanding during a relapse. One drug that is more commonly found being mixed in many substances is Fentanyl. Along with Fentanyl is the addition of Xylazine “tranq” which is a veterinary tranquilizer. Unlike that of Fentanyl, Xylazine is not Narcan (Naloxone) reactive and can cause fatal overdoses even when the amount of opioid would not have caused an overdose.
As mentioned earlier, Recover Clarity does not take any punitive measures with drug testing. We want to work with patients to help them get on a true path to recovery. All we ask is that you are truthful with staff so that we can best assist you. We understand that relapses happen and that often during recovery other substance issues may come about. That is called polysubstance abuse and is often very common with opioid addiction or Opioid Use Disorder.
Many times, individuals entering a clinic such as an online Suboxone treatment facility are only looking to stop the use of opioids. They at times may still be using other substances, most commonly methamphetamines or cocaine. As this is still a point of concern, with help at Recover Clarity we can assist with stopping those other addictions while treating for opioid addiction. At Recover Clarity we do not have any concerns with the usage of THC or cannabis, as this has been seen in most states allowing for Medical Marijuana as a treatment option to help with opioid addiction. The only concern is that the consumed cannabis is done so safely and obtained from a medical dispensary. Many street dealers of marijuana are now lacing their supply to make their product appear to equal the strength of that accomplished by the legal medial dispensary growers.
Recover Clarity tests for over 150 different substances. This allows staff at Recover Clarity to better help guide anyone in need of additional care during their opioid addiction treatment utilizing the telehealth services at an online Suboxone treatment facility. And the list of tested substances continues to grow as novel (new) psychoactive designer substances are created. This is only to assist anyone with any continued problems with polysubstance abuse.
